| 6 Mar 2004 | Mircirith Calencalien | You havn't thought this through very well have you? How would the skeletons move their hands and joints, and what's keeping their bones together, and even if they still had tiny amounts of sinew holding the bones together, they wouldn't be able to stand up, let alone fight. Not very formidable oponents eh? When I draw a picture I look at the concept from every possible angle before I even start. Its a good start though, keep trying. Some very valid points there Natalia. : ) You're right in that just by themselves... this would not be possible. However, these skeletons have been brought to life (animated) by powerful magical and priestly spells of an evil necromancer. The spells themselves actually hold the bones together and are controlled by the necromancer's bidding. That's also what makes them viable opponents. These skeletons in particular have been ordered to block anyone from entering the ruins. Hope that answers your question. : ) - Derek | |

| 26 Sep 2006 | Anne Wipf | Very nice, as usually, but... the walls seem so strangely built. They look unreal, as if they were a bad movie scenery : the stones are flat and sticked together with a strange cement. But we are in a fantasy world after all. Derek ´Hendercrazy´ Henderson replies: "Thanks Anne for the comment! Yeah, the walls did come out more flat than I originally intended. As a lame exscuse though, these could be construed as cheaply constructed inner walls designed to merely slow down intruders on their way to a larger inner portion of a vast and mighty castle layout. Thus giving archers and balista time to hone in on the unwanted enemy and shoot them down. Yeah... a bit of a stretch, eh? XD - Derek "Hendercrazy" Henderson" | |
| 25 Dec 2007 | Andy ATOM Taylor | Proper sword & sorcery picture! I really like this one! People complaining that animated skeletons do not look plausable should stick to the anime elf section! | |
